This is a great tip especially to those new to the blogosphere. Short but very accurate information. I appreciate you sharing this one. A must read post!
Thank you very much for visiting my website and for the very kind comment. I appreciate it. I’m glad you found my information helpful. I look forward to you visiting again soon and wish you all the best in your career endeavors.
The wealth of positive and life impacting information within this video library is staggering. Learn off body language folks and in time you will be able to sense when some one is not being ‘legit’ with you and will also indicate whom you should align professionally, socially etc, with.
I have book marked this website and I hope to see many videos to help me in my own professional pursuits. Keep up the great work Yvette 🙂 ~ Philip.
Philip, thank you so much for stopping by and for the kind words. You are correct that body language tells a lot about a person and is very important especially in the professional sense. Thanks, again, for stopping by and sharing your comment. I look forward to hearing more from you in the future.
Hi, Yvette,
Thank you so much for another great post. The videos you have also included are of great help. They all compliment your Own Videos. I have already subscribed to your Youtube Channel. There is no way I want to miss out on your next upload.
Your Website will stay at the top of my list. It was actually the tiny details you mentioned in your older articles that helped my son to secure his chosen career. The employer actually said to my son. His interview stood above the rest because of ”Those Finer Details.” That to me goes a million miles.
That was because of your Web site and you also Yvette.
I will continue to share this website with other students and their Moms and Dads.
I really like your transparency. Thank you for everything my son and I have been able to learn from you and yes secure him his new Apprenticeship.
My Kindest Regards Deborah. T.
Deborah, I can’t tell you how thrilled I am to hear that your son secured his apprenticeship because of what he learned on my website! Wow! Please tell him congratulations from me! Thank you for always stopping by and for your continued support. Please keep sharing this information, Deborah, with other moms and dads in order to help their students. I truly appreciate it. I look forward to seeing you here again. Much continued success to you and your family.
Hi Yvette,
I love how you have put together this video library page. I found it really helpful and easy to navigate. The video that I love the most is Start your career | LinkedIn. That video is really helpful. I joined LinkedIn back in 2014. The reason, I signed up was due to a job application, that I needed to submit. At the time, I never knew how or what LinkedIn was for.
LinkedIn over the years is becoming more popular. I’ve recently learned how important it is to build up your personal brand and profile on LinkedIn. Employers and recruiters are looking at all of this when they are considering hiring people.
The elevator pitch is a useful video as well. That is something that I am always working on. I find myself practicing an elevator pitch when people ask me what I do for a living. I stumble over my words. Not on purpose but, assuming it’s because I don’t have my elevator pitch together. So, I think the elevator pitch video can be useful for people all around. I definitely, thank you for providing all these useful tips, and videos.
Have an awesome rest of your week!
La’Kisha
La’Kisha, thank you so much for stopping by my site and for sharing your thoughts here. I truly appreciate your kind words and am very happy to hear these videos are helpful to you. LinkedIn is a very helpful tool for many aspects such as networking, finding alum from your college or university and for finding a job to name a few. The elevator pitch is useful in many different situations including interviews. It sounds like all you may need to do is practice your elevator pitch a bit more and memorize it to help you articulate it effortlessly. Keep practicing. It will become easier for you. Thank you, once again, for visiting. I look forward to seeing you again.
Loved the videos! Especially the body language one! I definitely find myself making judgements based upon others’ body language! I have found that great posture exudes confidence. Confident people to me are pretty smart… just my quick two sense lol! ((:
Misty, it’s so good to see you again! I am so pleased you loved the videos. They are some awesome videos that I have shared with my higher education students. The body language is definitely fascinating – especially with respect to interviews. When teaching during that class, I would tell my students to go in a quiet place and do the victory pose before going to an interview. It makes a difference! You are correct when you say posture exudes confidence. Yes! Thank you for stopping by my site and have a great rest of your week.
